Registered Practical Nurse (RPN)

What can I expect to do in this role?

As an RPN in the Mental Health Unit, you will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide holistic care to patients with mental health disorders. Your responsibilities will include conducting initial assessments, administering medications, implementing therapeutic interventions, assisting in crisis management, and documenting patient progress. You will contribute to creating a supportive and safe environment for patients and actively participate in their treatment plans.

How do I qualify?

• Diploma in Practical Nursing from an accredited program
• Current registration as a Registered Practical Nurse with the College of Nurses of Boston MA
• Experience Working in a mental health setting is preferred
• Knowledge of mental health assessment tools and interventions
• Strong communication and therapeutic relationship-building skills
• Ability to effectively manage challenging behaviors and crisis situations
• Understanding of mental health legislation and best practices
